The Baganda in USA make mashed matooke from Bbogoya – these bananas we find in supermarkets. And to make up for the groundnuts sauce, they prepare and serve it with peanut butter sauce.

They buy the bananas from the distributors while still green. They peel and boil them, mash them up and put them in alminium foil and into the oven for like 30 min. Then they fry onions with a little olive oil, add garlic, tomatoes and after some minutes one cup of hot water and then 4 soup spoonfulls of peanut butter. Iam not very good at explaining cooking techniks, but there you are. Bon appetite.
